      I agree. No doubt about his knowledge, and he’s a natural broadcaster. But I did find him excessively smug.

        I think its a great pity that R3 rarely uses Ed Seckerson, his wonderful series on musical theatre that ended a few years back introduced me to some great music.

              I must say the Cleobury excerpt played on BAL sounded a bit grim! Notwithstanding the King's acoustical downside which was mentioned, I just feel that Stephen C. (God rest his soul and all that) was not a ChichesterPsalms sort of person!
