      Thanks Nick –so glad you enjoyed. I love the Suitner version for his conducting and for the orchestra. As you'll hear, not all the singing is quite as good, but with that orch (and Suitner's no-nonsense but very expressive conducting) it's certainly a strong personal favourite of mine. If you can take a male witch, then Peter Schreier is as good as that's going to get.

        Thanks indeed Makropoulos for the best BAL I have heard in ages .

        Whilst pleased to see the Tate won I have now added the Solti also in its Decca grand opera form with libretto.
