David Owen Norris didn’t mention that the concerto was dedicated to Hoffman who never played it. I don’t think his hands were big enough.

I think Argerich is fabulous in this concerto but I have rather overplayed her recording and am resting it ! I know they love their tiny shortlists on BAL nowadays do they can fit in all Andrew McGregor’s unnecessary interjections but surprised - Ashkenazy,Janis,Lazar Berman and Gilels in particular were ignored.
