Definitely. Never understood why she was omitted from the Great Pianists of the 20th series while others were awarded multiple representations.

But at least they devoted this to her:

I have the Annie Fischer with Friscay and the Bavarian RSO. It's about time I listened to it again.

It just happened, I ordered a used copy of that this afternoon to add to the LSO, Markevich in the Icon box.

Utterly off topic that combination also produced one of the all time great Beethoven Piano Concerto No3 recordings.

A recording I bought, in its Heliodor LP manifestation for 19/6 in my youth. Outstanding!

I have the classic Géza Anda recording. I seem to remember that on another occasion, the Bartok PC being reviewed, didn’t fare well. I have another but, off hand can’t remember which one.

Listening to Bavouzet yesterday, I was struck by his meticulous attention to the rhythm and articulation of the opening theme. Anda is freer here (more idiomatic?) and he pedals through all the little rests. I prefer Bavouzet in this opening.

I think Bavouzet was the winner when they did the 2nd concerto recently. I think you are right; Geza Anda didn't figure strongly at all. I grew up with Anda's recordings of the Mozart piano concertos and have had his versions of the Bartoks for a long while. But now I really do think the likes Bavouzet and Fischer, and even Agerich with Dutoit, find more light and shade, more variety in the Bartok, and a vein of melancholy that eludes Anda.

I bought this Icon box primarily for the Mozart concertos and the Schumann, but it is full other treasures. I keep looking at her complete set of the Beethoven sonatas on Amazon - finger hovering over the buy button - but price and a little voice saying "Do you really need another set of the sonatas?" holds me back. That voice has been defeated in the past though - many times.

That Beethoven Sonatas set is available on QOBUZ. With the newly reduced subscription rate, you can at least listen to them, though they are still a bit pricey to purchase as CD rate downloads.

Listen to unlimited or download Ludwig van Beethoven: The Complete Piano Sonatas by Annie Fischer in Hi-Res quality on Qobuz. Subscription from £10.83/month.

                            No booklet pdf, however.

I think Anda won last time which does not seem all that long ago.
