Stunning indeed, as are the other 58 discs in the Columbia Complete Edition the company released in 2016. Not bad for a part-timer, eh? while moonlighting from his plagiaristic work on so many famous film scores!

(For the record, the real John Williams [guitarist] is a mere 78 - it was the cinematic one who was enjoying his 88th birthday.)
To say nothing of his Pop venture with Sky!

Bernstein, Prague. That fulfils it for me, I wouldn’t have any personal interest in anything remotely HIPP (as I’ve previously acknowledged elsewhere).

                      Ah right, got it thanks.

If I saw that in a score, I’d play it the Jacobs way. But then I’m no expert on grace notes.

Some good responses below , with the most convincing replies ( allowing for confirmation bias ) suggesting that Jacobs is probably interpreting faithfully.
If the effect is just to play four semi quavers , why not just write that ? ( other than to take any possible accent off the first semi quaver).

If the grace note has a line thru it, does that mean it should be played on or played before the beat? Does this rule apply universally to all periods and composers or is it one of those rules that is not always followed? The piece I am playing with the grace notes is the Piano Blues No.3 ...

... I enjoy modern or instruments d'époque in classical repertoire, as I've shown above, but with a certain predilection for chamber orchestras of course. The point about HIPPS historically is that, the nearer you come to the present, the more distinct the various ensembles/directors sound from each other, so it isn't straightforward to generalise favourably or unfavourably.
That later Bruggen Mozart Trilogy sounds remarkably lush compared to his earlier Mozart Symphonies; 2010 is almost Romantically intoned (which suits 39 especially well... then again, there often was an affectionate, Romantic streak in Bruggen's musical caresses, wasn't there..? Those later OAE Haydn S&D Symphonies...

In his own Mozart Trilogy notes, Tognetti has some very touching, sad yet inspiring recollections of playing under a "very frail" Bruggen "a white-haired guru, with charisma", in the ACO in 1990, a very formative experience for him in Mozart and I suspect much else.......

                        ***
Would many listeners tell, quickly or not, by ear alone that this was on period instruments...?

Working full time with a busy life precludes me from listening and coming on to these boards as much as I would like. I envy those who have the luxury of time.

In the discussion of the big Bruno Walter box later in the programme, he made a point of referring to the Serkin/Walter recording of the Emperor (which had not been selected for comment by the reviewer, Katy Hamilton), apparently solely in order to say that the pianist was Peter Serkin who had died the previous Saturday aged 72. A crass and crashingly obvious mistake, and one which seems inexplicable coming from someone with the knowledge of classical recording history that he professes. I am still at a loss as to how he could have thought it was Peter and not Rudolf.
Which reminds me a propos of nothing in particular of how that segment did convey just what a wonderful conductor Walter was....

Plenty of listening going on here. But this is a board where discussion of presentation always gets intermingled with discussion of music. Sometimes one, sometimes the other is in the ascendant. You can always scroll past the bits that don’t interest you. By the same token I can always choose not to listen to multiple recordings of a Mozart symphony. Tonight it was Bliss, Bach and Beethoven for me, whilst on other evenings I have been taking great pleasure in your favourite records of 2019, listed elsewhere, for which I’m deeply grateful.
