Have you tried his later Beethoven 4 and 5 on Sony? I found them far preferable to the earlier survey.

Which Missa Solemnis? COE or the late, late CMW?
      The latter is extraordinary....

Listened to Davis's No 94 this morning - what a wonderful life enhancing set of the Londons that is.

JLW I only know the first Harnoncourt Missa - the 2nd sounds well worth investigating and the CMW Beethoven 4 and 5 too by the sounds of it.

That Missa was recorded at Salzburg, Summer 2015, and was the last Harnoncourt recording to be released, at the conductor's own request...

Yet Ms Walker tells us of him directing from the keyboard in symphony 96, another London symphony. I think it's justifiable to use it in 102. And would think that his directing from the violin was probably more in the earlier Esterhazy symphonies, when there is no keyboard in the score and no mention of any keyboard instrument within the court orchestra records of the time.
