I know that the format of building a library irritates and some have turned off from it but the great thing about BaL is that it generates interest in, and gets us listening the works being discussed - how many people here a few weeks ago would have thought have airing K478/K493 from their shelves - such lovely music - but probably much neglected these days! In recent months Schumann 2 had a similar response - they get us all talkng and listening, whether Hippites or Luddites who stick to their love of recordings, probably from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

BaL is yet another no go zone for me on Radio 3 but yes I do enjoy reading the feedback here“Music is the best means we have of digesting time." — Igor Stravinsky
