Does the producer not ask his colleagues for recommendations, or send round a list asking, "have we missed anyone out"? Is there no intern scanning the CD review books to see what might be worthy of inclusion?

      I can imagine the department that prepares this and other like programmes as being like work is now practically everywhere: just-in-time, no room for slack, rush-rush, gotta get it done yesterday, time is money, etc etc.
