Is Hogwood lacking passion and power, or is FBO strident and forcing the passion? I'll be sticking with Hogwood, I like grandeur with restraint.

Is the total lack of comment on the style and presentation of this BaL a mark of widespread general approval? I thought it was a very good 'un
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

I took it that everyone was too busy finding other ways to avoid broadcasts from Windsor.

With a rather reduced list of performances, it was fairly easy to see where the final choice was going. But I think Simon Heighes did a good job and I would agree with his verdict, even if I still have a fondness for the old Hogwood. But I do wish that Harnoncourt had had a go at these pieces, that would have been a lot of fun.

Crumbs! I hadn't realized this. I shall get the Tafelmusik and wait for the reissue of the Teuerburgers at a lower price and with a coupling.
