2. How much import duty would there be from the USA, and how easy would it be to play the Blu Ray on kit aimed at the U.K. markets? Maybe the format “issues” are too significant.

The review, and indeed Shout Factory's own website confirms the disc is restricted to Region A (and is therefore restricted to playback in North America, Central America, South America, Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia).

Unless your blu ray player is multi-region, you won't be able to play it in the UK.
