Am I right in assuming that BBC MM recordings aren't included in these reviews? I, too, am very happy with the OAE Soloists under Anthony Halstead.

You are right, but then very few commercially available recordings are discussed these days, too!

I've only ever had Mozart wind ensemble recordings on LP - by the London Wind Soloists/Brymer (1963) and by the Czech Philharmonic Wind Instruments Ensemble (1971, nla it seems).

Time for something a good deal more HIPP for me, and the OAE/Halstead looks just the ticket.

I have the Orchestra of St Luke's/ Mackerras, which appears to have been deleted (Unchecked), so I will listen to this with interest. I see that a greater number than usual are download only, which means that they are of no interest to me. My main interest for purchase would be one played on period instruments,

I did a double take when I saw the Boulez listed, and I'm not sure if you're damning it with faint praise or not here, jayne: the coupling may be very good, but what about the Mozart?

The Mozart is exceptional, surprisingly or not....always enjoy going back to it.

For a modern instrument version the Linos Ens. on Capriccio is exceptionally fine. They were Sarah Devonald's choice in her BAL on the Dvorak Wind Serenade..

Stokowski’s recording may not be available individually but is in the Bach Guild Little Big Mozart Box, which is available as an mp3 if not on CD!

Interesting that the versions I have are OOP, except for the Blu Ray Stuttgart disc, which is excellent. Don’t think that I’ve ever heard a version that I didn’t like...

It’s a great shame that this programme doesn’t include them, as there are a fair amount of recordings that can be included in this.

I have a BRSO version with Colin Davis on RCA from 1992, which I don’t see listed above, do I? I bought it on the strength of a good Gramophone review, but actually it’s a bit underwhelming (though Davis could be a very good Mozartian).
