Listened believing I knew this work very well and really didn't need a new version. On checking later was gobsmacked to find I had just one recording and that on LP, the ECO/Kubelik So have just ordered the winner

I have the.....Warren-Green London CO. The last wasn't shortlisted, it's very fast indeed and very well played but slightly sole less.....

So presumably only available to the well-heeled?

Actually, I agree, it's rather slick - I have that version and the Marriner/Philips, neither of which I find wholly satisfactory, so will have to catch up with this BaL in search of another version.
