Not a piece I've ever warmed to for some reason, (possibly because the only recording I have is on a Rattle/Britten compilation ). But I got a lot out of this BAL, and perhaps I need to add the chosen version - and Fedoseyev"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

No-one, as far as I am am aware, has anyone mentioned Vernon Handley's recording? Although not on the list.
