I personally wouldn't want OVPP anyway. Pax, Mr Rifkind.

      It remains my favourite.

Can't see it in the list in ##1&2 though - and indeed it seems to have very limited or no availability - scandalous.

(Edit: there is a £97.75 Japanese SACD import available on amazon... )

about £19 used and delivered even after the pounds 3 % collapse from its medium term norm.
anyway, the Hengelbrock/ Freiburg BO isn't too shabby at all, IMO.

although that list looks a bit like the runners and riders and form for a very valuable handicap race......

Agree about Hengelbrock. It's on the Deutsche Harmonia Mundi 50 Box. This might have been what Ferney was thinking of here.

Yes, its in the DHM 50th anniversary box, not the 50 CD collection.

Its also in Sony Baroque Masterpieces box, which is pretty miss and hit, but has some good things if you can pick it up cheaply, which at the moment you can't.

Hit and miss indeed. Far too many 'highlights' discs, but also some buried treasure.

That may have been what Bbm was thinking of, but when he said "that HM Sacred Music box", I was thinking of:

... which several of us on the Forum bought a couple of years ago for about a third the current asking price!

                  not this one.

the one called 50 CD collection.

maybe they should have called it
                  " Now thats what I call a DHM 50 CD collection 2 ".

                  Er, I think.......

In fact La Petite Bande /Leonhart is available very reasonably indeed in this set:

                      Well done, Wilson......!

Leonhardt should definitely go into post #2, Alps?

(Despite the amazon entry saying "Number of Discs: 1" ... the photo reveals that there are 20! A quid a disc... Can't complain! Even cheaper via the 'deals' section! )
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                        - I didn't know about the first 50CD box (and, seeing the price, I might as well be Nun de Weisser ) and only knew about the second.

"20"? 10 when I look at the photo (3 each for St Matt & Christmas and 2 each for Bmin & St John). Three discs for the Christmas Oratorio???!!!

                          (Still, at under £13 ... )

One of those daft "New: £11.55, Used £11.54" offers!

                            Still, a bargain
