But away from canned lift Music, and incense sticks with pyramids, isn't this FANTASTIC Music!

SM-P at her considerable best, too.

Has this one done the rounds with early music dudes or was it off the top of your head?

Apparently, I am crisp and polite. I didn't know that.

Are you allowed to say that as an 'ost?

If you're travelling north down the Rhine Bingen is a fantastic place to start. Wonderful scenery from there to Koblenz.

No, I promise that I just thought of it!

Looks like all the Sequentia discs are available at around £11 - but NO texts, just the discs.

I've checked my contract - yes, I am. I've just got to post the "isn't xxxx a totally RUBBISH presenter" comments under another name.

(Given this Music, does that make me a 'eavenly 'ost?)

I'm going to go for it, too - I already have the Gothic Voices disc from when it first came out.

Ordered that yesterday, too. 31 years after the CD release

Well, I guess that is pretty rapid, bearing in mind it took some 1000 years for the music to be revived!

                          - just ordered. Impulse buying after the BaL, but I trust my impulses in this case.

(And £1.56 per disc including P&P - it would be rude to miss such an opportunity. And I did go for the UK seller, so could have saved another penny!)

RB suggested Sequentia on the Baroque early thread in response to my query on Hildegard, last week (post #317).

                              " Beef Oven!
I would be interested to know if there is a body of instrumental music from her.

RB. No there isn't, although some performers like the Sequentia group have interspersed her vocal pieces with instrumental ones based on her materials, and also invented quasi-improvised instrumental accompaniments (ie. drones) to the vocal numbers, which are all written as a single line. Facsimiles of her manuscripts can be downloaded free from IMSLP for those who are interested. "

EDIT: How do you get posts from different threads, rather than copying and pasting?

Go to the Thread(s) you want to quote from and click on the "+ symbol nest to "Reply With Quote" (do this as often as you like, from as many different Threads/Posts - the computer "remembers". Then go back to the Thread you want to post them onto, click on the "Reply With Quote" and everything you've saved will appear, ready for you to edit and reply to as with single quotes.

BUT - Don't forget to go back to the Threads you've quoted from and un-tick the Posts when you've finished; otherwise they'll come up EVERY time you "Reply With Quote" to ANYTHING!
