I have both winner in an Argerich box and the Fischer . Both excellent as are CTC from the 1930s .

My favorites are the Suk Trio, Kalichstein-Laredo-Rose, and the Swiss Piano Trio on SACD

I'll second the Suk. I snapped up this Supraphon disc which couples two classic recordings from the 1960s in remastered versions. I was mainly after the Octet which had been a favourite and only recording on LP for many years and the Trio with Josef Suk, Jan Panenka and Josef Chuchro was a welcome bonus..

The reviewer liked the Benvenue Trio, but not the reverb around the recording - I found it odd, then, that her admiration for the Goulds seemed to share much the same acoustic. All the same, I quite enjoyed this BAL.
