However, the freeware program get_iplayer reminds you of the obligation to delete, unless you have moved the files in the interim, but does not enforce such deletion. It saves in m4a format from which the original 320kbps aac file can be extracted by Yamb (free software) for nondestructive editing with mp3directcut (also free). Another advantage of get-iplayer is that you do not have to mess around logging in to the the BBC to copy the PID.
