I found the way that Davis ran on into a never nearer photo for fourth rather odd . He seems to hit the balance in the famous movement perfectly to me . I am with caliban - no rush for me to supplement the Davis .
For me, Sir Colin hits the spot in all of his Haydn recordings graced by superlative playing from the Concertgebouw. I have Davis, Jochum and Abbado in the 'Clock' as well as Monteux and Karajan so really don't need any more.
