If it's trivial nit-picking you want, the only thing I can see that is missing is the letter "i" on the end of Chiara Banchini - my only version and a serious front-runner I would have thought, unless like Barbi above you are allergic to counter-tenors.
PS I don't know the Sara Mingardo version but usually find her irresistible.

        More nitpicking, I'm afraid!
        Surely Italiano and Jeffrey?

Please don't be disheartened, Alpie. We all really appreciate the work you do in compiling these lists for us.

If Vivaldi's 500+ concertos are basically interchangeable, is this also true of his multiplicity of sacred works?

Well, I think some of them are. What about all those awful Bassoon and Mandolin concertos?

But there are plenty of real gems, too - I admit that.

In my opinion, you have made a very worthwhile purchase, waldo - it is a wonderful set, both in content and performances.

... I don't know the awful bassoon concertos : which ones are they? I do however know his many marvellous bassoon concertos - have you tried those ones? I can highly recommend Sergio Azzolini.

He wrote at least 39. Can you recommend any in particular? (Or are they all the same.........?)
