A pity the recommended version is download only.
The double album in question is also available from amazon.co.uk (1 copy remaining at time of posting) or via their marketplace.Last edited by Bryn; 29-03-14, 11:13.

I really enjoyed that review. Lots of interesting observations and some great excerpts. I have ordered the MTT from Amazon (AutoRip already done) and I will look out for the Copland download.
I already have the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra on DG and the roundly slammed Naxos release from about 1988.
Black Swan seems to have been right on the money!

This is the second or third time recently that experts have come on the BAL threads and pointed out that versions categorically stated on BBC CD review as being deleted or only available as downloads are in fact available on any number of websites and in other forms.
Makes me wonder at the trustworthiness of CD Review team's assiduity of research.

Thanks Beef Oven,
I have to admit that this is one of my favorite works. I have loved it for 40 years or more. I was surprised at the outcome. The recommended disc was a revelation when it was released. I also like the Tilson Thomas complete Ballet with the San Francisco Orchestra. I had to miss a bit of the BAL and unfortunately it is not on iplayer.
To address some of the other comments. I agree to much background noise from the Glass Fish bowl and I did get a bit tired of the verbal repartee between Andrew and the reviewer.
Sitting at home the windows open and listening to the recommended CD, a good day.

It seems a bit difficult to track down a CD version in the UK, but it could still be available from the US. See http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...&condition=new
The prices are such that additional import charges won't apply. If anyone finds a UK or European source, please let us know. Actually I found these options from amazon.fr - http://www.amazon.fr/gp/offer-listin...&condition=new
