    Exchanges suggestion

This sub forum is for members to post details of spare CDs &c they would be willing to exchange or donate. Or hopeful Wants!

Suggest for each offer a new, clearly titled, thread.

Arrangements between members to be made by PM, not posted here, please.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Thank you FF. I've recently benefited from a v kind Forumite offering to pass to me a spare CD... and I susepct a lot of us must have spares, mistaken duplications, unwanted presents... There are charity shops of course... but swaps and donations here could be fun!

I'll have to round up my duplicates and list them

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Many thanks for this, FF. This has been on my list of suggestions for this Forum for some considerable time though I don't think I asked you directly for it.

I'd suggest each member sets up their own thread with lists of CD/DVD they are willing to exchange or donate. What do others think?

surely the ultimate structuralist concept ?

Post modern would be just the word DUPLICATES placed in a random place?

(through the haze of 30 years work.....) !

I'll be needing some time to list my duplications here so will do so at the weekend.

Will there be an official exchange rate - eg one HIPP handel CD equals 2 Barbirolli Handel CDs,?

                          Naughty....

I'm pleased to say I'm the first beneficiary, I think, from the spirit of exchange/donation... HighlandDougie's offer

Thanks HD! Going to be away for a few days now but then you have first dibs on my spares!

I believe the official response should be "Oh, You Jammy Dodger to get your mitts on something not offered to others, due to your Hostly presence"

An excellent turn of events all round! I've three of the discs in this series and they're extremely interesting for their orchestral sound and dramatic readings.
