I think somebody must have - "Used" copies at over £100 went on sale as soon as Amazon started including the box in its general store (ie, not the "pre-order" Special Offer section).

      Mine says "arriving October 27".

      I'm not staying in specially.....
I've got the same date and it's been on order since April.

Unlike the Strauss, this set has yet to be released, so we shall see.....

‘‘Twas me who complained about the Strauss box. And I got it eventually at the advertised bargain price.

I got the Richter The Complete Album Collection (18 CDs) some time ago. Still available at £30. Sounds a better bargain unless I'm missing something (quite likely).

I fear a rerun of the Strauss opera box saga but please not to be endlessly picked over on the bargain thread. On the other hand, information on Dana Ciocarlie welcome (my knowledge of French evaporated years ago).

PS European Amazon sites have this set at anywhere between 30 and 70 euros.
Mine arrived to-day - nice to be be proven wrong. It is still listed at £4.04. No time for a listen before the w/e.

Back down to, rather than still. Two days ago it was priced at £5.63. An increase of just 7p over the price we paid seems more seasonable. I wonder what it will be next week?

Thank you nit-picker: I was aware of the interim rise.

We've all ordered it because it's cheap, but let us know if it is any good, hafod!

This might be good - though we may have discussed this before - https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/classic/det...n/hnum/3386171

Haydn keyboard sonatas : Ekaterina Dershavina - about 23 euros.

                    Not a period instrument, though.

Just received my 'Satie and Friends' from jpc. Looks like a good Satie 'all round to mine' - he would no doubt have said 'chez-moi'.

Mine arrived yesterday. As I hadn't really looked what was in the box ("never mind the quality, feel the width" - 13 CDs for not much more than the price of 1) and as it came with the seal of approval of the Great Bryn, I was thrilled to discover that the John de Lancie/LSO/André Previn LP I used to own (but which disappeared a long time ago ) was in it. Yay! worth the price alone.

I'm very tempted by that very nice-looking selection costing peanuts and I note that jpc have lowered their UK mail charge from Euro 5.99 to 3.99 - this offsets slightly the pound's post-brexit poor Euro exchange rate.
