On a straight A/B comparison on the Naim CD player, the version in the Sony box sounds like a different recording (but isn't). The Erato version is a bit dim and sounds its age. The Sony (which has a faint trace of hiss) has a depth, warmth and brilliance entirely lacking in the Erato. More generally, that care with remastering shown by Sony for this disc applies pretty much to the rest of the Boulez box (which Beefy would not regret buying, even at £72.63, honest!).
Gone a bit easy at £67.07, now. Slowly, slowly catchy monkey
P.S. I've cancelled the order of the Erato set, in-lieu.
Tempting but the annoying LP sized format puts me off.
... I think I paid almost £30 for the Wand box
Yes, the format is annoying - but I find I've now got several 'non-standard' boxes - Vivaldi operas, a Brilliant Wagner box, the big Glenn Gould one - so I'll just have to be ingenious and find other corners / more desk space / more floor space to accommodate.

I'm much enjoying the Wand - and at this price!
I think I paid about £35-40 just for the Schubert symphonies, in the early 90s.
