Yup! Give it the time and attention it needs - late at night is really good - and just let the sounds happen (don't expect them to "do" anything - they start doing things when you just let them happen, I find) and it is astonishing how uplifting and (for want of a better word) "cleansing" Feldman's Music can be - one of my favourite composers.

OK - though I fear it may take a few years!

        It's not that long!

(You wait 'til you get started on For Philip Guston - all five-and-a-half hours of it!)

I have only attended one performance of For Philip Guston, and had to leave about half an hour before the end to catch the last coach back to London. Fortunately it was recorded and made available (with some careful editing from rehearsals) on 4 CDs. I added that set to the other three I have and admire of the work.

By the way, not a bargain in the usual sense, but certainly so in terms of the musicianship you get for your money. That said, I have to admit mine was a comp.

I was at that very performance, too, Bryn - a magical night, even with Carla Rees' cold symptoms.

(The Atopos CDs appear not to be available?! Any ideas where it might be available?)

The David Oistrakh EMI box is currently on amazon.es at 11.40 euros. Been posted here before, but I don't think as cheap as that.

A reincarnation of a similarly titled set from around 2004. Listened to bit by bit it's a treasure trove.
Nice to see that Brahms piece still included

The Szell set of the Beethoven symphonies is now only £7.99 on Amazon and even a few pence cheaper from other sellers.
