Since I'm not on holiday, I didn't wait !

Downloaded the Bloch Quartets today.Nice easy process,( though you need a paypal account I think). quality seems really very decent, given the vintage. £0.82 was the cost.

I'll definitely be using the site again.

If you don't already have the majority of the CDs in Naïve's "My Favourite Beethoven" boxed set of 4 CDs, don't be put off by the box's title. I already had the 9th Symphony in the Krivine boxed set (so that will make a handy present for someone). At £11.31 including p&p, this is a considerable bargain. However, when my set arrived this morning, the package also contained a complementary promotional copy of Martin Provost's Violette on DVD. No fancy packaging for the DVD, just a simple paper and plastic film envelope. O.K., that was the icing on the cake, and may well not come with every order placed with amazon.co.uk, but you never know.

As to buying from Amazon, yes they have dreadful work conditions, and do their worst to avoid due tax, and should be brought to book[sic], but I am sure that those who do work for them would rather not be back on the dole due to a mass boycott.

I'm amazed they keep sending the messages out, offering me the opportunity to cancel my order, which I ignore! I think after a year they do give up - this one hasn't been going that long, but I'd have expected it to peter out now - must be 6 months.

As I recall they sounded decent enough, though some organ afficionados might wish to comment and will probably prefer others. As a freebie this is a pretty good deal.
