Though not FLAC - for anyone who is concerned about that. Arguably 49p more from Presto gives better quality.

It is also here - http://open.spotify.com/track/6i7XYwfWckT25VZPj6NJOi though quality might be questionable. Is a higher resolution version available anywhere?

PS: I thought I'd try downloading the FLAC file, but warnings elsewhere about getting in early for purchases were not heeded. The price has now reverted upwards on both Amazon and Presto to something more significant, and is a deterrent to my investigating the quality issues further.

Dave 2002, on an unrelated matter, many thanks for your message last month about recordings of Glazunov, which I only just discovered. However, you need to do some housekeeping, my reply just bounced back with the message "cannot accept further messages until they clear some space." There is still no further news on the Krauss Ring. Amazon are still showing it as available from marketplace sellers only. It could be that they are waiting for those who ordered at £11.29 to get fed up and cancel or just forget about it.

Quite right. The import duty and other fees all too often render the US an unattractive source of 'cheap' boxes. There are a number of other offers at Am.com to be had including Haydn: The Complete Symphonies - Denis Russell-Davies on Sony for $21.93 but I am steering clear (not that I want this one).
