        the least they deserve.
Am I right in assuming amazon will refund if necessary?

Not confident my Liszt will appear........

Check your card account first. Mine showed the payment was taken and put back on the same day. The payment never actually left the pending transactions section.

Perhaps rhere should be a Complaints thread - the bargains are bwing swamped by discussion about whether or not payments have been taken for delivery/non delivery of certain items Stiil, maybe shows that some of us are alive - perhaps more on that later.

              The Krauss Ring.

I e-mailed Amazon and have had a reply back saying that it is 'temporarily out of stock'. Problem with this is that it was most assuredly in stock on September 29 when I ordered and was thereafter (apart from a day or two) but is again showing out of stock. Amazon also included this in a promotional e-mail to me as being in stock so goodness knows how they are unable to fulfil my order. They are probably hoping that I get fed up with waiting and decide to cancel.

To get slightly more BOT, for those who don't mind downloads:

A few at least are 24 bit - and if you haven't used e-classical before very easy to download. The Brautigam Mozart (at less than £5.00 for 24/44 quality) is a delight.

No - that's not the point. We do need info such as you have been trying to provide, but sometimes we get so we can't see the wood for the trees.

                    Bws.

The Quatuor Vegh complete Beethoven string quartets 8cd set (released on 11th Nov) was on amazon at around £25 recently, it's now £63.99.
                      Worth keeping an eye on

The Beethoven/Arrau sonata set is now £18.58

Not quite clear wha the reduction is, but digging deeper suggests 40%. also looks as though the MP3 and 16 bit FLAC are about the same price, while the 24 bit FLAC is around 25% more.

Also looks as though one can purchase single tracks in a sensible way. Maybe I'll reacquaint myself with that incredible Japanese counter tenor.

Fortunately the grocer has the Vegh/Beethoven for £25.99.

Another potentially interesting Beethoven sonata set comes from François-Frédéric Guy on Zig-Zag Territoires - £23.05 from Amazon.uk....

...but just €14.99 from Amazon.de (altho' note the dreaded 'not in stock').

The delivery appears to be just €3.38 so this is really competitive.

Also, the 9cd Decca box of Mozart concertos reported earlier is now down to just €7.37, again at Amazon.de.

Dave - sorry, yes, I should have made it a bit clearer that it's BIS's 40th birthday so e-classical has made available 40 releases from the BIS catalogue at 40% off their usual download price. 24 bits are more expensive, although BIS's sound quality at 16 bits is usually pretty good anyway.
