I DLed the RIAS download a couple of days back - some of that is worth hearing.
In the meantime I've already listened to four CDs from the living stereo box - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Living-Stere...=Living+Stereo which arrived recently, and after the Sinopli box.
The Julian Bream CD is very good, though why it hasn't been possible (did anyone check) to remove or reduce the constant hum on some of the tracks on that disc I don't know. I have tried hum removal myself on occasions, and it can work very well, though if overdone kills the sound.
The box is larger than expected, and heavier. It's got rubber padding inside. Quite good, but may not fit so easily on typical shelves. It will upset those who like standardish size CDs and boxes.

I had forgotten how cheap music is to buy these days. I remember shopping around in the early 90s for Karajan's Bruckner cycle, and finally got it at a knock-down price of £65!!! It was about £75 in Oxford Street, back then.
21/22 years later, it's just.......http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bruckner-9-S...uckner+karajan.........

Some of the Yondani Butt recordings are really good, though currently 6 seems only to be available on Regis. They are worth looking out for on eBay (ASV) or may be available as downloads - e.e HDTracks (but not HD!). As you say it is Tadaaki Otaka's version of 7 which is included in Polyansky's set.
Their catalogue booklet which I still get from time to time has quite a number of cheap or interesting things right now.
