Yes and look at the price of the Gurrelieder alone which was £24 at the weekend, now £35. Truly the ways of Amazon are mysterious indeed.

The set also made it to 53 out of the top 100 bestsellers (or it was when I looked), all thanks to us lot!

Hats off to mb indeed. This must be the best bargain to have appeared on this thread and certainly the one that really took flight.

BTW, I emailed pristine and told them I'd been given a bum steer by you and Jayne about that Mahler 5. They apologised and said there had been a delay with my order. The kind lady said she will post it tomorrow.

Both the Tchaikovsky box and the Sinopoli arrived today so many hours of listening ahead. Thanks to all who recommended them.

                  - and it's very good. Sound's a bit boxy, but I soon got used to it and no clicks, pops or surface noise, and the performances are covetable. Cheaper than a single NAXOS release, too; Forumistas need hesitate neither on artistic grounds, nor on sound quality.

Thanks for the review. Mind you I've hardly listened to the £1.09 (IIRC) Schnabel set I downloaded from Amazon!
