In the meantime - ClassicWorldSelect has a Gershwin collection for free this week. Currently listening to the piano concerto - mp3 - but it's not bad - and it seems my hearing has returned as I'm getting balanced input in both ears.

It's multiply listed on amazon.co.uk. If you search for "Beethoven violin sonatas complete Grumiaux" it may show as unavailable. Leave out "Grumiaux" and it crops up as available at low price.

I found a whole bunch of things at what might be reasonable prices - and in CD or SACD formats. Are things particularly cheap right now as we approach the annual "selling fest", or has there been a spate of box sets recently which are keenly priced?

I mentioned up thread what looked like a few cheap boxes.
I'm not sure if these count as cheap, or bargains, but they might be of interest [well, to me at any rate].
Any views?

Grace D was namechecked on this forum recently, IIRC. In October I sang in a Mozart concert - Mass in C minor/ Ave Verum Corpus and Solemn Vespers, where she (and Julia Doyle in the Mass) gave a beautiful, sparkling and assured performance. At the top of her game, in the first choral and orchestral concert in the locality since the start of the pandemic. One to remember……
