Scott Ross Complete Scarlatti Sonatas (36CDs) on Amazon for £35.69
Now I can't even remember if I've had that one!
I probably saved about £35. I found my box, but it claims only 34 CDs. Is the issue here significantly different?
Mine is a Warner box. I think there are only 34 CDs even in the box as shown on Amazon, which sports an almost, but not quite identical, box and layout, with possibly only very minor textual changes re the pieces and contents of the CDs.
At one time I had several Scarlatti boxes, including the one which for some reason was encoded/compressed - was that a Nimbus recording?
Now I've ordered the English Choral Music set too. I'm not sure that I'll really like it, but I'm prepared to give it a shot - though took a while for me to decide on this - and collect my Nectar points. At the price offered I probably won't regret it.
My order was supposedly delivered today. I say "supposedly" because only 4 fo the 8 discs were sent (CDs 5 to 8). The price may have been very low but there was no indication that it was only half of the set. Return and refund demand duly sent to "OnlineMusicFilmsGames" via amazon.co.uk.

That's unlucky Bryn. My set was delivered late last week, complete and in good condition - thanks to MickyD for the tip. I've listened to a couple of the discs so far (Byrd 3 part mass and Taverner motets) and really like the choral sound, it's a terrific bargain.
