It seems to mirror the 4 boxes containing 21cds issued as Original Masters so there are a few extra bits in the new set. Not enough to tempt me as I have the 4 OMs.
As you imply Hafod a good box for anyone with little Curzon on their shelves but those annoying little missing additions for the long-time Curzon collector not a viable purchase. The Solti R Strauss box does look tempting however.

Indeed , I have managed to assemble many of them over the years but the Bach will be fascinating and I only have the Jupiter of the Mozart and good to see all the Wagner and not just a selection . I also am missing his studio Brahms 1 .

Indeed it is. I don't have the Bach , Brahms or quite a lot of the Wagner , amongst others , so I've pre ordered my copy from Sinsbury's.

The first item shown is the Archiv recording of Diabelli variations as played by Jörg Demus on Graf and Broadwood fortepianos. Something very much to look forward to spinning, once it appears in the UK.

The catalogue number is given as DG 480 3303 (2 CDs).

Just 'pre-ordered' it, along with far too many other items (they have a contemporary music promotion at the moment), from Presto Classical. They are offering the 2 CD set for £9.75 (plus p&p).

My now effectively unplayable double LP set was just £1.99 in an HMV clearance sale, back in the early '80s.

I'm pretty sure I got mine from the much-missed Orchesography in Cecil Court -:sigh:

Much missed indeed! I spent many an hour browsing and selecting many, many discs from the rapidly changing stock there from the early 70s until its closure, after its move across the Court.
