The boxed set of CDs cost me £42.38, 9 years ago. Good to note that the QOBUZ download includes a pdf of the booklet.

Yeah, I deleted my post after checking the US Amazon source page and realising it may well be a product mix up (you can't tell from looking at the UK page). The barcode associated with that ASIN seems not to be the Avantgarde Series. Apologies for any confusion. Personally, I'm not going to risk an order.

As you have probably seen, there are two Avantgarde series listings on AUK:

1) ASIN B0C64B8P88 - this has UPC 765105159229 - this is the £19 version
2) ASIN B0CGW5W7JB - this has UPC 028948356775 - this is the £100 version

Looking around the UPC for 2) looks more correct - that is what is in discogs. I might risk it since, if it is wrong, there will be ample justification to return it.

Hopefully one can refuse delivery if there is an excessive import duty. It's really not too clear.

The DG avantgarde series was originally released as 4 x 6LP boxes - 24 discs. However, the CD issue of the series contains only 21 discs. The missing discs/recordings are the following:

Stockhausen - Gruppen/Carre (from the 1st (white) box)
Stockhausen - Telemusik/Mixtur (from the 2nd (red) box
Stockhausen - Stimmung/Fortzetsung (from the 3rd (yellow) box)

I suspect that these recordings are not included because the rights are now held by the Stockhausen Verlag. It is a shame as the box is lacking arguably some of it's most important recordings but there it is.

You can buy these exact recordings on CD from the Stockhausen Verlag - but they are expensive:

I would agree that the box is still worth having if it comes through at the bargain price - but much less so at the more regular price of about £100.
