Still less than £26.50 including p&p via the marketplace.
My Britten set arrived yesterday: a pleasingly small proportion of recording duplications in fact (mainly Rattle, Previn, Willcocks), so many thanks to ts for flagging this up.
The Vladimir Jurowski 7 CD box has come down nicely in price to around £28 on Amazon.
Anybody got it ? Make a lovely xmas pressie for somebody, surely ?
Yes, I got it for £25 earlier this year (duplicating my previous individual purchases of 1 4 5 6 & Manfred) - all very good!
It was a close call, I think. I delayed a little to add the Blu-ray of the restored version of Will Hay's the Goose Steps Out. I had been waiting to find something to take the total to over £20 before ordering the Blu-ray. Which reminds me. Beware of trying to watch said resored version of the film online. Doing so might lead to a bogus Microsoft virus alert scam. I smelt a rat, soon enough to avoid the scam, but made sure I used two different malware scan methods immediately after rejecting the scam virus alert's entreaties.

I've always been interested in your posts and thoughts, Bryn, but the fact that you reveal yourself to be a Will Hay fan endears me even more!

Well, my work base was, for a year or so, in Sluff. It was crazy that for years the only version available on disc had some of the best scenes cut from it. Oh, Mr Porter! is another great favourite, though everything he did was a delight.

The Goose, along with the Jurowski box, has just stepped in.

I quite agree - I know the lines from many of them practically by heart. I think my absolute favourite is 'Ask a Policeman'. Wonderful stuff.
