I've not done a close A-B test but from the release year, the identical performers credited, and movement timings within 1 second of each other, I suspect that the 'Rhenish' in both the 33 disc box and the 29 disc (28 CDs + 1 DVD) boxes may be the same recording. Otherwise, I don't think there is further duplication.

How bizarre, Dave...I just double-checked my order that I placed about an hour ago and I see that I have got the set for under £12. How does this sudden price change happen, I wonder? Was it a mistake that someone at Amazon noticed and put right?
Vints, thanks so much for highlighting the Hungarian Rhapsodies disc, I didn't know it existed.

There is also this by the same forces: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Martin-Hase...aust+Haselbock
Which is a fantastic performance which I will be reviewing for the Liszt Society in due course. I await volume 9...
By the way, the Liszt orchestrations CD by the same forces: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Arrangement...iszt+Haselbock is slightly disappointing as I feel the works work better in their original versions...Best regards,
Jonathan
