I don't think the ongoing saga of the R St Box is off-topic as it all developed from ts giving us a lead to a bargain.

I think (hope?) that ferney's irony has perhaps not been recognised.

Back on-topic, qobuz has some Naxos boxed sets at silly prices for lossless download, including the Petrenko DSCH symphonies - sorting from most expensive does the trick

I can get the Lindsays' Schubert String Quintet for £2.99 at my local HMV (and Uchida in the Impromptus). In the Classic FM series. Are these recommendable?

Well, the original ASV release of the quintet was on a CD that got a Penguin Guide rosette, so I would say yes!
Schubert: Death & the Maiden Quartets. ASV: CDDCS243. Buy 2 Presto CDs or download online. with Douglas Cummings (cello) The Lindsays

Lindsays' Schubert Quintet is a must IMO.

Uchida in Schubert I find a bit chilly. Not very Viennese!

                      Meisterwerke des Barock (60CD-Sonderedition) - €25.

I bought this some years ago and at €25 it is a steal provided not too much duplication is involved.

Pointless addition to this thread, but here goes, anyway.....

                        Beethoven
Symphony no. 3 Overtures, Coriolan and Egmont
                        Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Paul Kletzki

All for 1 Euro in a junk shop in France.
However, a possible dilemma lies ahead; if I love this 'Eroica' will I be sorely tempetd to go nuts and acquire yet another LvB symphony cycle? I vowed long ago to NEVER, EVER add another complete LvB symphony set to the ones I have.... What is a man to do?
