Not just a good price. For those who do not already have the set it is surely an unmissable opportunity.

Best Sibelius cycle ever, unless you're an 'orchestra snob', that is.

Are those the recordings which were on EMI a few years ago? I have the symphonies - not sure if the fillers were the tone poems etc. on my set. Not sure that I need to buy this just for those extras, though. Barbirolli's Sibelius symphony recordings are very good.

It's a straight repackaging job of the set that previously had a white cover.

                      - and the RPO Second (which fitted neatly onto the "spare" spindle in the previous, white-covered jewel case).

which you can get cheaper than the 'new' bargain' : if you're OK with 'used - very good' even cheaper still

                          - "extras" included. I suspect that, like other reissues in this Warner design, the 6CD jewel case will have been replaced by cardboard box and sleeves?

Or the SJB set of 1 & 5 (ex Nixa), 2 (1952) & 7 (1949) (HMV). In my view the Barbirolli 60s Halle Pohjola's Daughter is one of the best ever.

I would assume so. I only have one in that series (the Prokofiev ballets) and that's the case with that one.

                                That's the one I have - definitely.
So no need to buy again, unless it's been remastered again.
