Odd that Amazon says that the box is often bought with a set of Shostakovich string quartets!
Heck though - it works out at around 67p per CD and most of them are worth having, many of them will be new to some of us. Thanks for this one. Still available.

I was unsure about this box, but actually now it's arrived I think I can recommend it wholeheartedly - certainly at the current price. There's some lovely stuff in there, and it's quite well presented. No background information though, but what can one expect? Perhaps at full price the lack of further information would be considered a drawback.

You have a point. The box is actually slightly bigger than it needs to be. I find that the boxes are often much more compact than individual CDs.
Double stacking?

I got the Wand 28 CD Great recordings ( but not the booklet) AND the EMI Verdi 35 CD operas set in that Beethoven box.
Just.
And then thought better of it !
anyway, with a long weekend ahead, here's more HvK to listen to when the gardening and DIY is finished, at a bargain price.
