Ah, sadly the message is just like yours, Bryn, but we must remain optimistic!

Blimey, if it does arrive, that's another 33 CDs to hear...and I'm only halfway through the 70 CD Callas box!

Has anyone else here tried clicking on the tracking button? Mine says "Will dispatch 1 May". Now admittedly there are 2 other items in the order, but they are both straight forward in stock items and thus should not be causing the delay.

Mine says "Will dispatch 30 Apr" (immediately before it tells me that it will arrive between "20 Apr - 1 May").

              Snap!
So dare one hope that this means they will honour the price, as they might otherwise have pulled the plug already?
The link still shows the same bargain price, too!

I am guessing in that you two were quicker off the mark then I was, and that I am scheduled to have to wait an extra day for the potential dispatch of the items I ordered.

Update: Clicked on tracking, says will dispatch 2nd May!!??

I'm not keen on Strauss,or non British operas for that matter, not really sure if I'll ever listen to that much of the set,but £11.31 is an unmissable price for 33 CDs of just about anything I suppose.
It will look nice on a shelf.
What's that number for cd collectors anonymous ?

I'd go a bit further than "not keen" - even 1 or 2 discs of Strauss (ex Salome) would make me ill. I'd have to keep them wrapped in brown paper like my 1 Mahler disc, to avoid losing any street cred I might still have.

Confession corner: I suspect will even enjoy the "stodge" (reminds me of school dinner puddings), as mentioned by Conchis earlier today, presumably referring to the lesser operas which I have hardly even heard of, let alone heard. My only duplicate will be the Jessye Norman song disc. We had tickets to see her do the Vier letzte Lieder at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig but infuriatingly the concert was cancelled because Masur was ill. I might play the Oboe Concerto as a bedtime treat ... not stodge.

It's a terrific set containing some of the greatest music ever written and a lot of music that deserves to be better known.

I even offered to pay the extra postage on this one. I suspect I might not have to, but one can never tell.

It's still showing, and flagged as a Best Seller!
