    It isn't!
Try the track listing here, though it's the usual game of guess the composer (or at least it was when I saw the first announcement of the set).

    Tempted, ts?
Rather too many duplications for me, and of course there is some EMI stuff he did not with the CBSO that is not in the package, e.g., his recording of Pulcinella!
    :-)

But that only lists 14 of the 52 discs.

        So it does!
I would have sworn that it had them all when I first looked a while back.

I might be tempted, as some of it, EG the Symanowski, is already on my wish lists.

And iit is a very nice looking box.
          And Xmas is coming....

But even the Warner Classics site seems reluctant to reveal all...so I gues we'll have to wait until the record company get their act together.

Shouldnt be difficult for Warners to fix this, if they want to shift some extra units !

And of course you can never have enough versions of Pulcinella, so it'll have to be standalone purchases. For those, I guess !!
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I already have Rattle's Pulcinella (Northern Sinfonia) on a mid-price EMI disc coupled with Weill's Seven Deadly Sins (CBSO, with the first Mrs Rattle as soloist).

Perhaps I should give that early Rattle recording of Pulcinella another try. I was rather disappointed with it when I first spun it a few decades ago. I recall it having none of the fun and games atmosphere I found in the composer's own recording of the full ballet. Come to think of it, I found his Seven Deadly Sins of the Petty Bourgeoisie a bit lackluster too. Spoilt for me, perhaps, by the superb performance, in an English translation, by Julie Covington and E.N.O in 1978.

                That's my memory too.
As well as the composer's version, I like the Abbado, with Berganza, Ryland Davies, and Shirley-Quirk.
Must listen again to the Naxos recording, with Ian Bostridge and Henry Herford as two of the soloists.

The deletion method is a little obscure. It's one of the options one is presented with via the "Edit Post" button. A little trial and error sorted it for me.

... and the marvellous Mahler/Cooke 10th Symphony with the BournemouthSO - in many, many ways still the best thing he's ever done IMO.

Not sure whether to post here or on new releases - since strictly it may not be a bargain, and it is a re-release of older recordings.

Ormandy Sibelius set to be released in October - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...h_co_p15_d7_i4

                              8 CDs about £18.

Maybe cheaper elsewhere eventually - but could be good anyway. There may also be another box (or boxes ...) already which contain/s these works - hard to keep up these days.
