If you like the 7th (and 4th) it's worth tracking down his other Bruckner recordings - particularly 5 and 8.

For the Sinopoli orchestral works set am.it is still probably quite competitive, at the current Euro/£ rates.
The Art of Giuseppe Sinopoli: Orchestral Works : Giuseppe Sinopoli;Ludwig van Beethoven;Johannes Brahms;Anton Bruckner;Johann Strauss;Robert Schumann;Claude Debussy;Gustav Mahler, Giuseppe Sinopoli;Ludwig van Beethoven;Johannes Brahms;Anton Bruckner;Johann Strauss;Robert Schumann;Claude Debussy;Gustav Mahler: Amazon.it: CD e Vinili}
14 CDs with some interesting material on - click on the images to find out more. Basic price around 27 Euros, depending on supplier, plus some postage from Italy.
There is probably less benefit in ordering the 8 CD set of concerto recordings from Italy, as in the UK the prices is just under £17.
Are either or both of these boxes worth considering? Probably yes - but budgets may be a factor. The opportunity to obtain yet another set containing Beethoven 9 and Schubert 8 and 9 may put some people off, while others may be deterred by Schoenberg Pelleas und Melisande.Last edited by Dave2002; 20-05-15, 04:04.

Um, my copy of the RVW Collector's Edition 30 CD box has 2 copies of Disc 2 (A London Symphony; Symphony No 8) and 0 copies of Disc 3 (Pastoral Symphony; Symphony No 4). Anyone else have the same problem? Does anyone have 0 copies of Disc 2 and 2 copies of Disc 3? Not a serious issue (the other discs all seem to be fine) but a very slight irritation, nonetheless.

Of all the Am.Europe sites, I think I am right in saying that delivery charges from Am.It are the lowest.

I see that Gramex has come down in the world. I looked in at their new premises yesterday and discovered that they are confined to the basement, and have given up any attempt at keeping the stock in any sort of order. Piles of CDs on tables. OK if you have a day or more to sift through looking for things yoiu didn't know you wanted, but hopeless if you are looking for something specific, or even a particular composer . I don't think I shall bother to make the excursion to Waterloo on my visits to London.
