Only work if there was another offered at the same low price by another marketplace seller.

Talking about Giulini there are a couple of interesting boxes from Warner:

The London Years (17 CDs for around £20 from the Marketplace: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Carlo-Maria-...ywords=giulini

The Chicago Years (4 CDs for around £10): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Carlo-Maria-...iulini+chicago

Thanks for the Giulini suggestions. London years looks like a bargain!

I've just realised that all the ~£20 Marketplace offers are from Canada and the USA, so the final cost of those could be well in excess of the Amazon price if the Royal Mail charges you for VAT and handling.

Shouldn't do for that price. Think all stuff from amazon UK is exempt otherwise there would be warnings etc.

Do you want to test it? I think Johnb is right!

The limit for exemption is £15, beyond that it all depends whether Royal Mail picks up on the import.

                    DOWNLOAD
Ronald Brautigam - Haydn – Complete Music for Solo Keyboard, Fortepiano, BIS.
                    On e-classical - 15 Disc Bundle - $50.
15 CDs. This is a fantastic collection of piano music, in some ways even surpassing Mozart with the surprises, the style, the virtuosity and flair. It is one of the high-points

(May be of interest to some - not really mine, certainly not to the extent of 15 discs.)

They listed batches of this set on four separate occasions at this price (give or take a few pence), so what was going on.....incompetence, disgruntled employee...?
Doesn't the sale of goods act (or whatever it's called) say that an item has to be sold at the price marked, even if it's wrong?

I thought the price marked was just an invitation to make an offer at that figure, which can be declined.

I bought that, used, for about $30, plus shipping. I agree, it's more Haydn than I really want, but it's always enjoyable to dip into.

Thank you so much for this link....I had never heard of e-classical before. It appears to be a Swedish company - their website and search engine is very good indeed and from what I can see, so are the prices. I would suggest readers go and check it out - I've just snapped up the Brautigam complete Mozart and Haydn boxes very cheaply.

PS....as an example, a latest BIS release is under $9. Sounds too good to be true!
