Thanks for sharing. Was there never an LvB 9th?

Am hoping that some of the individual discs will come down in second-hand price as a result of this release!

I agree, I never feel guilty buying more box sets - the only problem is finding space for them in my already over-cluttered shelves!

Lively performances in ok-ish sound. VERY different to Munich period Celi. Enjoyable enough but not really on a par with Furtwangler material from the same period or as interesting/infuriating as the Munich recordings.

Surprise surprise! I have just heard that the Large RCO Legacy box I ordered at £85 has been cancelled because 'the price wasn't set by the seller correctly'. They listed batches of this set on four separate occasions at this price (give or take a few pence), so what was going on.....incompetence, disgruntled employee...?

Algorithms, I suspect. I believe marketplace sellers use automated computer programs to set the price based on what others are selling it for.

What sort of algorithm would set a price at one-fifth of the market price?

More likely a bar code error like the all baroque set a while back and they've spotted it.?

RCO Live box set cancelled by M&L, too Same reason given and, in fairness, the price was clearly wrong. Although I have sometimes actually received "miss-priced" items, it's not very often. Worth a try though!
