Somwhat confusingly throps still has the bad link.

Re the Mozart box, I notice it has the Auto Rip feature. Does this work from amazon.de? An earlier attempt to purchase MP3s off the French site failed, so not sure if MP3s will work from anything other than amazon uk.

I've not checked, but the postage might still be a deterrent for that Mozart from the .de site - I'm sure I've seen that box somewhere else cheaply - maybe even in an hmv shop!

PS: .de is considerably cheaper - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mozart-Violi...concertos+rsal - uk over £20.

Unfortunately, I do not see how I can change the link in the quote in #3448. Is there a way?

We can just live with it, or you can suggest to thropplenoggin that he either deletes the post, or amends it to note that the link has now been corrected. It's not a big deal really.

No - they will deliver to the UK, and the additional charges are not normally too high. In the case of the Mozart Violin and Wind Concertos box the extra cost of postage is still likely to be a lot less than the difference in prices between the UK and German Amazon stores. No worries about duty to pay either, which can happen with .ca and .com - though I've generally managed to avoid any such problems. Some German market place sellers may not export, but that box set was available from the main amazon.de so should be fine.

I had the Amsterdam RCO Anthologies recently from .de - no probs.

My original post quoted delivery for Am.de as €3.38.

Just dropped from a high of £48 to £29.94 - Britten: The Performer (27CDs). A combination of some duplication but mostly an allergy to Peter Pears makes this a non-starter for me.

Indeed, something like that. According to the site under a tenner in GBP for the Mozart violin and wind box all delivered.

                usw.

Download of Klemperer's stunning BRSO Mahler 2 just 99p from the river people. Highly recommended.

PS other Klemps/BRSO stuff is cheap to download at Amazon.de but only if you're buying from Germany. So much for the "Common Market".....

Looks like a good buy - 99p isn't going to break the bank. I wish I'd done the last cheap one - Chopin piano music - now back up to around £10.

Looking at my Cloud Player, the recent Mozart box purchase I had from the .de site with AutoRip does not appear there. Maybe it will if I go on to the .de site, though I'm not sure that it will - not sure if I actually have a separate Cloud Player for each amazon domain - perhaps not. Not a problem, as the CDs will suffice, when they arrive.

Aha - it looks as though the Cloud Player in Germany costs 24.99 Euros, whereas it seems to be free in the UK.

                      Bach cantatas, you say?

Presto Classical is offering a free download of an exclusive Bach Cantatas sampler to celebrate the culmination of Masaaki Suzuki's Bach project. It is available until the end of November. Find it here.

I have some of the Suzuki CDs - this sampler reminds me and tempts me to buy more. I wonder if there's any chance that they'll all be made available in an affordable box eventually. I guess at present buying them all would be an expensive proposition. I have some of JEG's versons, as well as others - I just love the sound in some of Suzuki's performances.

BIS did package the Haydn and Mozart piano works recorded by Brautigam, so maybe there is hope. I would love them to give us a big box set of all the CPE Bach keyboard works recorded for them by Miklos Spanyi...at present, far too expensive to consider collecting individually, more's the pity.

Re earlier postings on the Krauss "Ring" cycle, Amazon have now emailed indicating that anticpated delivery date is 8 to 11 November - hope springs eternally!
