Now fully downloaded and the files of CD 1 renamed to commence with "(Disc 1) " which they some how forgot to include. Now to either convert to CDA or stitch the 'tracks' of each Act together for gapless playback. I think the latter is preferable.
Remember '78s, so massively inconvenient, constant turning records over, changing records, re-winding turntable, occasional replacing needle - downloads are so much more convenient

Reason: trypos

Sounds like assembling a motor cycle not a ring cycle!
Would be logical, but I'm open to ideas. As someone else wrote, could be played in the car. The tracks could be useful for playing to others. There only have to be a few tracks in the set which I do enjoy to make it worth having.
If I absolutely hated everything in the works I wouldn't bother at all.
Yes, he also started a 9th but didn't complete it.

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.

My life's too short for things I'm not very fond of, I fear
I have just tried copying and pasting the last 'track' of Das Reingold onto the penultimate one only to find they do not play seamlessly. There is a slight but annoyingly noticeable stutter.
No how does one reject and claim a refund on a faulty Amazon mp3 download?

I agree that could be annoying. However, at the price it might not be worth the bother. I think there is a complaints procedure if you feel the fault is really problematic. You probably could align the tracks if you have the time and patience to do it.
I have just tried opening those two 'tracks' in Sound Forge, edited out the brief digital silence and the end of the penultimate and start of the final track and still they will not play seamlessly. There is audio data missing from the ends of the mp3s.
