How strange. Same problem from here now. It worked when I tried it before posting. Now I can't find the set on that site at all. Perhaps they have sold out in the interim? It was a very long way down the list when I found it. There were no details beside that it was a complete set of Mahler Symophonies, and it gave the catalogue number, which I then used to check its identity here (I have the set). The implication from the site just linked to does seem to be that ArkivMusic may well now have run out of stock.

[Just been right through the list again, and the only Mahler set they are now showing is that under Eliahu Inbal, which is a lot more expensive at nearly £41. The mixed set with the Horenstein 3 was but £10.99 IIRC (I don't have it cached).]

(Symphonies 1 & 4 are in stereo, the others mono).
Thanks for the confirmation I was sure they existed!

I was hoping for another Originals boxed set but Decca stopped the flow.

Not quite as cheap but available at Oxfam. Grab the Horenstein while you can.

There are some Rattle boxes - notably the Bartok and Szymanowski - for £7 each.

Best of all for those (like me) with the odd gap to fill in the Hyperion Romantic Piano Concerto series, these can be had for £7 each.

It seems that p&p remains at £2.35 irrespective of the number of items. Moreover, thse prices (and many others) remain valid until 30 December.

PS These prices should assist the Amazon boycott
Just noticed that prices are now valid till nov 27. It was 30 December ??!! Whats happened??

I wonder if they'll be able to satisfy their orders, or if a lot of requests will come back as "out of stock"? I need to spend some serious time at CD aholics anonymous now, having ordered some ridiculous number of CDs in boxes.

Maybe I won't need to buy any more CDs for a few months now.

I have ordered some great bargains from Archiv this morning...the Clementi sonatas, CPE Bach Prussian and Wurttemberg sonatas, and the Buxtehude complete organ works...about 28 CDs for £45 including p & p....I'm well pleased! Thanks for flagging up this site, I shall be going back to it very often - I hear my shelves groaning already!

I think you will find that it is free post and packing until 27 November although it could be clearer.

I missed a few - so might need to go back! Schutz box, Telemann box plus a piano CD by Vanessa Bonelli Mosell which might be good, or am I merely being sucked in by the pictures? Seriously, I think she may really be very good, but ....

They say they're going to deliver what I've ordered so far, so I assume they have them, or can source them. Now MickyD is opening things up further by mentioning Buxtehude and other "goodies". Where will it end? I think at this rate I'll have a new CD for every day next year.

I ordered the Strauss, Classical Guitar, Borodin, Schutz and Scarlatti Editions. All together 125 CD's so enough till Christmas (2013??)!

I almost daren't write that I can almost listen to 1 per day until next Christmas (2013) from my order, and there are a few more I might also go back for.

While checking out Buxtehude (MickyD) I found that some items are still cheaper at Amazon - so worth cross checking. I think the Buxtehude harpsichord set (4 CDs) is reasonably priced over there. The Corelli box is also cheaper.

Then there's this set of organ music by Buxtehude- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Buxtehude-Co...3686914&sr=8-1 which seems so cheap that it's almost another "must buy". Buy from the market place sellers for around £7 inc. postage.

I'm not sure which ones MickyD went for. It's a long while since I listened to much Buxtehude, and as I write this I'm hearing some motets (not necessarily by Buxtehude) in my head which are from an LP which I also bought at around the same time as one of my Buxtehude organ music LPs. Lovely stuff - I must try to find out what it was. I hope I've still got that LP - which I think I bought from Tescos in Oxford about 45 years ago. My LPs of Buxtehude organ music had some really good pieces on too, and presumably I'd recognise some of them in the complete set.

Sorry - I missed that it was just the Brilliant material.

Clearly, they did not anticipate the rush.

                                Mahler Alert!

                                Mahler: Symphonies 2, 4, 7, 9, Lieder - Otto Klemperer: 6cd £9.99
No rush (unless you want it post free but you need to spend £20) as it is available until 27 December.

Two other well buried Mahler 4 cheapies from Walter and Klemperer on APL at £2.99 each.
                                APL 101562 - Walter, RCO 1952 (+ Mozart Symphony 40); APL101553 - Klemperer, RCO 1955 (+ Mozart EKN)

Typing the disc catalogue number in the search box will locate the item on Arkiv but it is barely recognisable. The same seach on Presto gives full info and picture and thus cofirmation.
