Tempted by the Graham Parker set, Cloughie? I'd have thought he would be your sort of thing ?
Like a lot of stuff of that era it never touched my conciousness, though there is a Dr Feelgood set which looks tempting!

Shame that my antennae aren’t working anymore - I’m sure there are some great rock/pop artists around today. I just can’t spot them.

Praise for one who has been around since just before then when he recorded How Long as the lead singer in Ace. Well I just purchased a promising looking Fivefer Paul Carrack Original Album Collection Vol 1 (1996-2003). £9 from Sainsburys.

You buy CDs from Sainsbury’s? How long (has this been going on?).

Occasionally when I'm there I'll glance Over my shoulder, although it does not always Satisfy my soul!

This 12 CD set of the Frank Sinatra Capitol Years is a stonking bargain - true, you don't get the original cover art, but the remasterings are fabulous and there are generous bonus tracks on most of the discs. I am bowled over by the man himself, the wonderful orchestrations and so many terrific songs I didn't know. Treat yourself!

The SAHB is cheaper than online then.

Just wondering if the Free is a BOGOF ?

Annoying that Tons of Sobs isn't part of that five-pack (it's a better album than Free At Last, I reckon).

The SAHB pack looks very tempting: sadly, I already have the first two.

I hadn't checked what was in the set ascI have all the main Free albums from when they were reissued with bonus tracks some years ago. Tons was possibly their best ever!

One of my all time favourite recordings is Frank's version of 'I've got you under my skin' where the arrangement and playing are incredible. If ever I want to demonstrate my Hi-Fi system, that's the track I use!
