    Copland conducts Copland (Sony)

Given that I treated myself to the big Sony Copland box last year, I have many duplicates that ideally I'd like to dispose of as a job lot to someone who'd appreciate them.
    DM me if interested.

    The Copland Collection 1922–1935 (2CDs)
    The Copland Collection 1936–1948 (3CDs)
    The Copland Collection 1948–1971 (2CDs)
    A Copland Celebration Vol 1 (2CDs)
    A Copland Celebration Vol 2 (2CDs)
    A Copland Celebration Vol 3 (2CDs)

Not intending to steal your thread but yesterday afternoon I spent a few hours trying to organize the listening room which has had a recrudescense of CDs laying scattered about as the shelf space was long ago exceeded. I purged a few CDs that are duplicates of larger box sets more recently acquired. It was painful to remove the Haitink Das Lied with Janet Baker but it’s redundant with the big Haitink/Concertgebouw box, and I also winced at the removal of the Haitink Debussy.
I’ve written before that our Libraries and charity shops have stopped taking them. Friends that I would gift these to now greet me with “No CDs today, please “. If it weren’t for the small matter of the pond between us I’d love to take the Copland off your hands—I actually have no CDs of the composer leading his music- and perhaps trade to fill gaps in other collections.
Otoh after spending 2 hours in this task yesterday and only putting a small dent in the problem I am seeing why streaming is so popular.

Richard: Your next European trip needs to take in York (much to admire here, especially if medieval stained glass interests you), with spare room in your luggage.

Was in York around 2013, when I discovered this site. I was Googling CD stores in the UK and was linked to the Forum. I think it was a few weeks after a big flood
