Can anyone recommend a classical cd shop in Budapest please?

Mrs. PG and I are going at the end of September.

    Many thanks in advance.

I think you'd need to get the views of someone who's been very recently. There used to be an interesting little CD shop near Gerbeaud Cafe on Vörösmarty Square, but last time I was there - a few years ago now - I think it had moved or closed. Budapest was changing very rapidly over a few years earlier in this century. The cafe is probably still worth checking out, though.

A Budapest-based couple of my acquaintance with some little classical music expertise advise as follows (and I quote):
"1. In the central of the City, Budapest V. District
      Szervita tér 5
      Rózsavölgyi Zenemübolt

      2. Liszt Ferenc book shop on the Andrassy street near to the Opera house

      Those two are the best!!"

      Don't spend too much!

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Fantastic! Many thanks indeed, caliban. That's a great help.

        Best, PG.
