    CD Review 5 March

I see from the regular email about the content of the CD Review programme that shortly after 9 on 5 March we are due to hear extracts from works which I did not know even existed: Beethoven piano concertos nos 14 and 31.

Yes, that's confirmed by the online schedule. I'm sure Andrew will have a comment about that
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Ah ... I didn't notice that ... I'll go away and correct it!

Done. I bet the BBC can't correct it that quickly!

Another oddity is that as billed on the CD Review homepage, the New Releases section is going to last 1 hr 20 mins, but the 'interview' only 10. Shome mishtake shurely.

However, I'll be v glad to hear some of Yevgeny Sudbin's Beethovens with Osmo V (which by strange coincidence I've been able to discuss with both soloist and conductor - it sounded a very happy collaboration).

        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

No mishtake akshually. Very quick interview.

Interesting contrast between the Minnesotan and the Australian Beethoven PC4s... If anything it was the latter that held my attention - something a little too efficient and trimmed about the Vanska one. Bit like driving a Lexus - nothing lets you down but... *meh*
